The 2 RU Densité 2 Frame can simultaneously process 3G, HD, SD and analog video, as well as AES and analog audio. Its front-opening frame features dual hot-swappable power supplies (PSUs) and fans. Modules for the air-cooled frame are also hot swappable, and replacement modules can be configured automatically. All modules, redundant PSUs and fans are monitored to deliver status via GPI or an Ethernet port. Front panel multicolor LEDs provide status reporting, while a controller card allows card adjustments from the front panel.
The AMX-1881 is a high-quality interface which embeds up to eight AES 24-bit 48 kHz digital audio signals into a single HD/SD serial digital video signal. The module offers audio and video signal presence detection and reporting, and local or remote configuration and control. A unique feature is its ability to embed timecode, a serial RS-422 data signal (including Dolby metadata) and two GPI status signals into the video signal. The card also serves as a VLI and AFD inserter for an SD or HD signal. The card has built-in audio tone, timecode and video color bar test signals. By combining AMX-1881 embedder and ADX-1881 de-embedder cards, a full duplex link may be established.
The UAP-1783 is an eight-channel high quality audio processor designed to work alone or with a wide range of video converters, frame synchronizer proc/amps of the Densité series. The card features two distinct processing blocks: Input and Output. The input processing includes Dolby detection, Tone generator, delay adjustments, level controls and phase correction. Delay components include a fixed delay of up to 2 seconds as well as a video tracking delay that will automatically track the varying saw tooth delay introduced by an associated video frame synchronizer.
