The Adtec RD-71 is a contribution-class, 1080p high-definition integrated receiver decoder (IRD) built for professional broadcast, DSNG, and satellite contribution links. It features multi-codec support, super-low latency decoding, and a 1 RU lightweight chassis.

  • Supports SD, HD, and 1080p (59.94/50) using MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 codecs
  • Multi-chroma 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 with 10-bit processing.
  • Ultra-low/super-low delay performance, achieving ultra-fast end-to-end frame timing when paired with compatible encoders like the Adtec EN-200
  • Concurrent service identification across ASI, IP, and optional DVB-S/S2/S2X L-band demodulators (supporting QPSK up to 64APSK).
  • Decodes up to 16 channels, including MPEG-1 Layer 2, AAC-LC, Dolby Digital, Dolby E, and Linear PCM
